How to Fight Your Battles - Laetitia van Schalkwyk

Image
I am a qualified life coach, and my passion is: To help people to become still to hear the voice of God within. I was on my way back home when I noticed illegal dumping taking place in the street, we live in. I immediately pulled over and through my open window while making a video, I confronted the culprits and received a very “cocky” reaction. Back home I decided to wait until the weekend, then ask hubby to accompany me (as protection), and knock on every door in that area, while showing the video, asking residents if the culprits in the video, are in their service and confront them. While meditating on this incident afterwards, I suddenly realized I am fighting this in the wrong spirit in the wrong dimension. You cannot fight something in the flesh and expect a Godly or spiritual outcome. Ephesians 6:12 in the New King James Version says: “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness...

A word of LIFE over South Africa - Laetitia van Schalkwyk

Proverbs 30:32 reads “Do not confess that negative thought in your mind, rather speak life to every situation around you.” In the TPT it says: “If you’ve acted foolishly by drawing attention to yourself, or if you’ve thought about saying something stupid, you’d better shut your mouth.” Why? Because “The tongue has the power of life and death.” (Proverbs 18:21) The stakes are high. Your words can either speak life, or your words can speak death. Your tongue can either build up or tear down. An unchecked fire doubles in size every minute. Therefore I am going to speak a word of LIFE over South Africa: You will not be known as a country that walk-in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers. You will be known as a country who finds it’s delight in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on His Word Day and night. You will be like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does...

Speak LIFE! - Laetitia van Schalkwyk

Have you noticed how quickly you can become discouraged or deflated when you hear something negative come out of your own mouth or someone else’s? Have you also noticed how your entire day can brighten up when a kind work is spoken to you? Most of us know the truth written in Proverbs 18:21 but unfortunately, we don’t always live it. Philippians 4:8 in the Passion Translation says: Keep your thoughts continually fixed on all that is authentic and real, honorable, and admirable, beautiful, and respectful, pure, and holy, merciful, and kind. And fasten your thoughts on every glorious work of God, praising him always. Proverbs 23:7 says, “For as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.” Proverbs 4:23 says “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” Therefore, it is so important to guard your heart and your mind because what is in your mind and in your heart will overflow through your mouth. Ask yourself these questions: Are my thoughts au...

Offense - Changing the Frequency - Laetitia van Schalkwyk

Recently, a friend’s mother was admitted to hospital in Durban in KZN. During visiting hour, she found her mother in her hospital bed drenched in her own urine. Needless to say. My friend was terribly upset and complained to the nursing staff. The response of the sister in charge was not good. It was not received well. The next day, my friend decided to change the frequency, or atmosphere in the hospital. Upon arrival, she went straight to the sister in charge. She greeted her in a friendly manner and thanked her for doing this job, telling her that it cannot be easy because of the long hours, being on your feet the whole day, simply honoring her for what she is doing. The initial response was complete shock. My friend could see it in her eyes. Her second response was tears. She cried while saying: “In all my years of working in a hospital, not a single person ever thanked me.” Having honored the sister in charge, the entire frequency or atmosphere in the hospital com...
