Come Up Here! - Laetitia van Schalkwyk
I love rising early in the morning, enjoying
the quietness of the new day, and listening to nature waking up.
When it is so quiet, it is easier for me to
also find the quietness within and then step into a deeper dimension where I
can have a face-to-face encounter with God.
For days I was walking, just carrying on with
my everyday life but with such a deep desire to be in God’s presence because I
had questions and concerns in my heart and mind about some things.
You see, my one and only desire is to be in
God’s will and from that one desire many other desires sprout, … like being a
good wife for my husband and a good mother and honor God in everything I do. It
is in His will where there is Glory.
I want to be so saturated with Yahweh that I
will be an overflow of love into others.
But the last couple of days I really struggled
to silence my mind.
And still I had this deep desire to move closer
to God and just spend time with Him.
This morning, in the quietness I stepped in, I became
aware of where I was; already seated, in heavenly places.
I whispered: “My Father …. My Father …. “
He says in Revelation 3:20 “Behold, I’m
standing at the door knocking.”
First, I saw a door. I saw Jesus knocking. Jesus’
knocking is not a once-off experience. It is a constant or continual knocking,
Him longing to spend time with you.
Your desire to spend time with Him,
experiencing a desire to draw closer, is Him knocking.
But the doorknob is on your side. The longing
in your heart is His longing, for you.
So, I opened the door. I saw how I turned the knob
and opened the door. He was standing there, waiting for me to enter.
His facial expression was one of happiness and
excitement to see me.
You should think that I would enter with all my
questions, but funny thing is, once I entered, I was so saturated by LOVE that
I had no desire to bombard Him with my questions.
I was overwhelmed with LOVE and every single question
vanished in the Glory of His presence.
Dear friend,
This is an invitation to you today, to open the
door of your heart and step in.
For too long the church have been trying to
pull God’s presence into our buildings.
And fortunately, because of His Grace, He would
come and there would be an outpouring of His Spirit, a “revival,” but His
presence will leave again.
God is calling you upwards and inwards.
He says in Revelation 4:1 “Come up here”
Come up where? Come up here where I AM.
Stop trying to pull Him down into this natural
realm. He already came to earth. He came to restore. He came to tear the veil. He
came to have a face-to-face relationship with you.
Now we are free to enter where He is.
It is only when you encounter the Light, that
you can bring heaven to earth and be Light to others.
He is saying today: “I am calling you deeper, I
am calling you to “Come up here.”
You need to hear this today. You need to be
reminded about this today:
“Behold, I’m standing at the door, knocking. If
your heart is open to hear my voice and you open the door within, I will come
into you and feast with you, and you will feast with me.”
May you enter and experience a deeper level of intimacy.
Enjoy His
presence today.
Wow wow, so beautifully said! Thank you for sharing! I love it!
