Come Alive Dry Bones! - Laetitia van Schalkwyk
I was grounded by my husband
today. While he was busy in his study, like a teenager, I sneaked out of the
house into the street in front of our complex, armed with a black refusal bag. I
was out on a mission: “Mission Street garbage cleaning.”
I sneaked out because I knew he
would not let me clean the street without him helping me.
I sneaked out because he was busy
with something urgent, that needed his attention, and I did not want to distract
him.
And this is where he found me, half an hour later, in the street, covered in blackjack weeds (knapsekêrel) which took him about another half an hour to remove.
In my defence, I explained:
“In Mossel Bay, where I was privileged
to reside for five years, certain things are not tolerated. In other words: There
is a certain standard, an energy, and when you move there, and you are not accustomed
to it, you lift your standard and energy to come into alliance with, to match
the standard and energy of the area. It is not an effort, it happens
automatically. When living in Mossel Bay, you experience a lift in your spirit,
and you take responsibility and feel proud of your town and your surroundings.
When moving to Klerksdorp, I
experienced a completely different standard and energy. Every time we leave
Klerksdorp and return; I experience the same…
Before you blame it on the
Matlosana Municipality again, please hear me out. Be brave and read till the
end.
Paul says in Romans 12:2 in the Passion
Translation:
“Stop imitating the ideals and
opinions of the culture around you but be inwardly transformed by the Holy
Spirit through a total reformation of how you think. This will empower you to
discern God’s will as you live a beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in his
eyes.”
I have a choice. I can imitate
the ideals and opinions of the culture around me, which I refuse to do; I can
lower my standard and energy and align with a lower standard and energy, or I
can do something about it by raising my standard and energy and effect change,
because complaining and moaning never gets anything done. Moaning and groaning
lowers your energy level and therefore your frequency.
I choose to be effective. I can
see and imagine what a beautiful place Klerksdorp can be, though I do not
possess the physical capacity to do all that I want to do. BUT!! I CAN make a
difference. I can at least do my part and clean the street, pick up papers from
the open plots around our complex and our street. While doing it, enjoying the
quiet, it is if nature responds by thanking me for cleaning up.
I raise my energy, frequency,
standards, and values.
Jesus prayed in Mathew 6 in the
Passion Translation:
“Manifest your kingdom realm, and
cause your every purpose to be fulfilled on earth, just as it is fulfilled in
heaven.”
Here is what I do:
I meditate and engage what is in
heaven, draw from heaven, and then release it into the earth, into my natural
realm.
By using my pineal gland, my imagination,
I see the potential of Klerksdorp as it is in heaven and then I release it onto
earth from the spiritual realm into my natural world.
But because I do not have the
physical strength to do or to create all that I see, I speak to those
responsible, who are currently not doing the job and I quote Ezekiel 37 by
saying:
“O dry bones, hear the word of
the Lord! Thus says the Lord God to these bones: Surely I will cause breath to enter into you,
and you shall live!”
Come alive dry bones!
“I will put sinews on you and
bring flesh upon you, cover you with skin and put breath in you; and you shall
live. Then you shall know that I am the Lord”.
I speak.
I speak because I know words have
power. Words carry an energy, a frequency and by my words I create.
I speak to those dry bones, I
tell them to take responsibility, to wake up spiritually and manifest heaven on
earth. I speak to those dry bones to come alive, to see what I see with their
spiritual eyes, to feel what I feel.
I transport my energy into them to
fill them with a desire to create on earth as it is in heaven.”
It is amazing how only half an
hour of picking up garbage can raise your energy levels, your moral and create
a sense of pride.
Not so long ago a friend started
cleaning up a community park in Brooklyn Pretoria. She did it only once, before
more people showed up every Saturday morning to help with the process of
cleaning it up. It became a community project.
I want to encourage you, to do
the same.
“Dry bones, hear the word of the
Lord! This is what the Sovereign Lord says to these bones: I will make breath enter you and you will
come to life.”

Awesome Laetitia! Dry bones scripture is my very favourite scripture! Thank you for sharing! 💞
