The God Who Sees Me - Laetitia van Schalkwyk
I recently received a
notification that someone mentioned me during a live broadcast from a certain
prophet on Facebook. I was curious about
why I was mentioned seeing it’s the first time this specific Facebook friend
interacted with me in any way.
I started watching, for a whole
hour, without receiving the answer to my question: “Why was I mentioned?” A complete waste of my time.
But here is what I noticed:
The so-called prophet started
asking viewers to mention others so that viewers names can appear on the live
feed. He said: “When I see your name
appear I might have a word for you” but during the broadcast he was constantly
marketing his upcoming meeting. He also
mentioned some names, encouraging them to attend the meeting. Apparently, should
they attend, they would receive their breakthrough.
Why should anyone have to attend
his meeting to receive their breakthrough? Is God not present with us? Is He
not the God of now?
He kept on asking viewers to
mention names of their friends, so that when he sees their names appearing on
the live feed, he can prophecy to them. And
sure enough, more and more people joined the live feed, no doubt because their
names were mentioned, like mine was mentioned.
While watching, reading all the
comments on the live feed, my heart just broke for so many of those people. So
many calling out to God, begging Him to just “see them” and begging for a word
from the prophet.
Rejoice, dear believer, God sees
you! He sees exactly what you’re going through, because to quote Hagar, “You
are (El Roi) a God of seeing. Truly, here I have seen Him who looks after me.”-
Genesis 16:13.
“The eyes of the Lord are everywhere,
and he takes note of everything that happens…”- Proverbs 15:3 TPT
God’s home isn’t some faraway
place. You are His home. In John 14:23 TPT, Jesus replied, “Loving me
empowers you to obey my word. And my Father will love you so deeply that we will
come to you and make you our dwelling place”.
It is not on top, it’s inside!
“Yet you know me, Lord; you see
me and test my thoughts about you...”- Jeremiah 12:3 NIV
“The eyes of the Lord are upon
the weakest worshipers who love him – those who wait in hope and expectation
for the strong, steady love of God” - Psalm 33:18 TPT
“Before I formed you in the womb
I knew you, before you were born, I set you apart…”- Jeremiah 1:5 NIV
Every breath you take, is a
heavenly supply from within. YHVH – Yod inhale, Hey exhale, Vav inhale, Hey exhale.
“For the eyes of the Lord range
throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to
him.” - 2 Chronicles 16:9 NIV
In Isaiah 41:10, God says to
“fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will
strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right
hand”.
“Can a mother forget the baby at
her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may
forget, I will not forget you!”- Isaiah 49:15 NIV
God will NEVER forget you!
“The Lord looks over us from
where he rules in heaven. Gazing into every heart from his lofty dwelling
place, he observes all the peoples of the earth.”- Psalm 33:13-14 TPT
“The Lord sees al we do; he
watches over his friends day and night. His godly ones receive the answers they
seek whenever they cry out to him”. - Psalm 34:15 TPT
Isn’t it amazing that He calls us
his “friends”?
And here are some promises that
you can believe and take hold of.
“You will be guarded by God
himself. You will be safe when you leave your home, and safely you will return.
He will protect you now, and he’ll protect you forevermore!” - Psalm 121:8 TPT
“Yet Yahweh is never shaken – he
is still found in his temple of holiness, reigning as King Yahweh overall. He
closely watches and examines everything man does. With a glance, his heavenly
rule will prevail over all”. - Psalm 11:4 TPT
Isn’t this encouraging? Remember, his temple is not a place far away,
He lives inside you. You are the temple. God dwells in every believer. He is
always present with you.
“There is not one person who can
hide their thoughts from God, for nothing that we do remains a secret, and
nothing created is concealed, but everything is exposed and defenceless before
his eyes, to whom me must render an account”. - Hebrews 4:13 TPT
Thank you, Jehovah El Roi, – The God who sees me!
And this is me, Laetitia van
Schalkwyk, saying, “Until next time Shalom”.
