New Years Message 2023 - Laetitia van Schalkwyk

I bless you with a Christ centred 2023.

Hebrews 13:8 says, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and today and forever.”

The Greek word for the “same” emphatically states that Jesus Christ is unchangeable!

May you remember, that when God said: “I AM,” He didn’t say “I WAS” or “I will be,” because God is the same yesterday, today and forever.

His nature will never change. He will always be good.

Today is a good opportunity to shed that past because when you are living in the past, it causes depression and when you live in the future, it creates fear.

May you stay in the “I AM,” (present tense), live in today and simply wallow in Him – like the yellow in the egg yolk.

May you experience deeper dimensions of God inside you, and may you have heavenly encounters.

How do you recognize a follower of Christ?

Jesus said in John 13:35: “By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

The way we love demonstrates who we are.

Colossians 3:12-17 TPT says:

Love One Another

“You are always and dearly loved by God! So, robe yourself with virtues of God, since you have been divinely chosen to be holy. Be merciful as you endeavor to understand others, and be compassionate, showing kindness toward all. Be gentle and humble, unoffendable in your patience with others. Tolerate the weaknesses of those in the family of faith, forgiving one another in the same way you have been graciously forgiven by Jesus Christ. If you find fault with someone, release this same gift of forgiveness to them. For love is supreme and must flow through each of these virtues. Love becomes the mark of true maturity. Let your heart be always guided by the peace of the Anointed One, who called you to peace as part of his one body. And always be thankful. Let the word of Christ live in you richly, flooding you with all wisdom. Apply the Scriptures as you teach and instruct one another with the Psalms, and with festive praises, and with prophetic songs given to you spontaneously by the Spirit, so sing to God with all your hearts! Let every activity of your lives and every word that comes from your lips be drenched with the beauty of our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One. And bring your constant praise to God the Father because of what Christ has done for you!”

If you don’t have love, you are only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 1 Corinthians 13.

I leave you with Ephesians 1:3 TPT

“Every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realm has already been lavished upon us as a love gift from our wonderful heavenly Father, the Father of our Lord Jesus – all because he sees us wrapped into Christ. This is why we celebrate him with all our hearts!”

How do we celebrate Him with all our hearts?

By demonstrating love for one another!

Decide to love lavishly, bestow love generously in extravagant quantities, because God is a generous God who never does anything sparingly.

I bless you with a Christ centred 2023.

May God, the fountain of hope, fill you to overflowing with uncontainable joy and perfect peace as you trust in Him. And may the power of the Holy Spirit continually surround your life with His super-abundance until you radiate with hope!

Be cheerful with joyous celebration in every season of life. Let your joy overflow! And let gentleness be seen in every relationship, for our Lord is ever near.

May the grace and favour of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit!

Until we meet again, this is me, Laetitia, saying:

SHALOM!
